Letter: 'Guardian angel' needed at intersection

There is a need for a traffic light with turn signals 28 Bypass and Sayre Street. Everyone is delighted with the new Lowe's at this intersection. But the increased traffic and the type of traffic on area residents. The number of 18-wheel trucks will probably be tripled.

When Wal-Mart was in the mall, traffic was a nightmare at this intersection. It was like playing chicken just to merge into traffic. My mother was in an accident in the red light and was seriously injured there. She entered Sayre Street, next to a red light to turn left onto 28 Bypass.There is one major blind looking toward the Georgian side of the street Sayre. Mom was only 5 mph. It was like hitting a brick wall.

I called the Ministry of Transportation and the State said that the current traffic is not mandated turn signals at this intersection. For once, we will put aside politics, bureaucracy, graphs and traffic studies and we will use some good old common sense. How much is a life? Install flashing at 28 Bypass and Sayre Street, please.

I ask everyone to take a drive today.Exit the parking lot of Lowe again on Sayre Street (right), stop at a red light on 28 Bypass and try safely, turn left (Ryan). I hope you have your guardian angel with you.

In my dream, I walk to my mailbox and discover a Christmas card with a picture on the front of Michael, a very good friend who passed away some six years ago. I’m stunned. Then I open the card, and he pops out in the form of a bright white light of energy . He tells me that he has been my angel since his passing , and that he knows I have struggled very hard these past few years. He tells me not to give up, that I will be okay. He then plays a country song for me and says this is my song from him in heaven.

I slept for nearly ten hours, something I absolutely never do. Mike also said I would hear that song and remember it, but I don’t remember it. I listened to all country music for weeks after the dream and regret not writing it down. Dedicating songs to each other was something Mike and I shared in life as well. Wow, what an experience. Any insight would be wonderful.

Clearly you have a friend in the afterlife who is watching over you. I admire Mike’s sense of the dramatic—his leaping out of a card in a burst of light was quite sensational. It certainly got your attention. He’s a spiritually elevated soul, too, as indicated by the bright white light.

As for the other symbols, the mailbox represents messages (no surprise there). The Christmas card may symbolize Mike’s gift of being your guardian , or it could be a reminder of your faith (if are a Christian).

It’s interesting that he wouldn’t allow you to awaken to record the dream (darn!), but you must have needed the rest. He obviously has some healing ability that enabled you to recharge for ten hours straight.

As for the song, I’m thinking you’ll remember it at just the right moment, like when you’re at a crossroads or need some encouragement. Or, here’s a thought… Before you go to sleep, ask Mike to play it for you again. And this time, insist on waking up to write it down.
