Isle of Wight to host Abu Dhabi ocean racing's public and competitive debuts
While in Cowes, ADTA is promoting its New Year hosting of the Volvo Ocean Race fleet in a dedicated waterfront ‘Destination Village’ – the size of eight football pitches, undergoing construction on Abu Dhabi’s stunning Corniche. A scale model of the village will be on show in ADTA’s heritage hospitality tent, Cowes Yacht Haven, where regatta-goers can sample Arabian culture, including henna painting, calligraphy and falconry. A sail ‘grinding’ contest wil be held in the ADTA hospitality tent for all visitors. The lucky winner will receive a luxury New Year’s holiday for two in Abu Dhabi[1].
