At this exciting and innovative company you will be working within the Global Network Team to support the EMEA multi-office data network. You will follow IT Operations and Production Support policy with day-to-day responsibilities such as: Problem management, Incident management, Daily Operations meetings, and Change management. You will resolve issues in a timely manner within pre-defined SLAs as well as assume ownership of project tasks, reporting progress and issues to the team manager or project manager. You must have previous experience of resolving issues in a timely manner within pre-defined SLAs.
You must have a proven track record of working as a Network Administrator and preferably you should have CCNA and/or CCNP qualifications.
The successful candidate will have substantial prior experience of:
General Knowledge Requirement:
At least 4-6 years experience implementing, configuring, and supporting a Cisco networked infrastructure.
In-depth knowledge of all Cisco enterprise routing and switching platforms
Hardware:
Cisco IOS Router
Cisco Catalyst Switches including Layer2 and Layer3 functionality
Cisco Security Products including firewall platforms
Cisco Lightweight wireless controllers and access points.
Routing and Switching competencies should include:
EIGRP, OSPF, HSRP, QoS, STP, VTP, VLANs, Trunking, Channeling
General best practices for wiring and cabling
Network Assessment and Documentation
Build and maintain Visio documentation
A working knowledge of IP services-DHCP/DNS/WINS
Security:
Site- to-site and Remote access VPNs (IPSec and SSL),
Access Control Lists and Network Address Translation (ACLS/NAT)
AAA (RADIUS/TACACS+, Cisco Secure ACS )
We are looking for a strong team player with experience of working with Global Network Teams as well as System Administrators and Third party suppliers. You should be someone that takes personal responsibility for delivering against the standards that have been agreed. Effective team working and intervenes where necessary to ensure successful relationships are built and maintained, plays an effective role in all cross-functional opportunities. You need to have a strong delivery focus to ensure all SLA's and procedures are executed according to standards. There will be occasional UK as well as European travel involved for this position.
